Dear Mr. Clarke,

On behalf of the Chief Constable thank you for your email.

The answer to all the questions is yes as long as the protests are legal.

FAO CHIEF CONSTABLE

Dear Sir

General Question on Protesting

Does the Chief Constable uphold the right of a citizen of the United Kingdom to protest peacefully on Her Majesty's public roads and pavements where such a protest does not impede the movement of others.

Does the Chief Constable uphold the principle of free speech.

Does the Chief Constable uphold the right of a citizen to hand out protest leaflets where the contents are entirely legal.

Regards

Mike Clarke
